Blog? Pphhhhht! This is 2015!

I know Blogs like this are totally outdated and nobody does this, but I feel like there isn't an equivalent thing to this: somewhere I can be totally open and honest publicly in text form, where it doesn't get shoved in all my friends' and followers' faces like Facebook and Twitter.

I also think the movement from Blogs to Vlogs as the main source of this kind of stuff (logs?), is very much the same as the movement from reading books to watching movies. Once the technology could support the video format instead of the text, the vast majority of people decided to watch the easy movies rather than read those hard books. Movies and books are different mediums, though, so they offer different things to the consumer. Books offer more insight into what's happening in the minds of the characters, while movies' use of background elements like music, sound effects, and background visual effects better convey the things actually happening outside the characters' heads.

In a very similar way, I feel that reading a blog creates a closer intimacy with the writer. This may be because you read the words in your own voice and therefore look at them in a different light, but it could simply be that since the tone is applied by your own reading, you can make sense of it how you like and then just accept it how you read it rather than just hear it exactly one way from a Vlogger.

Either way, I feel that this blog is a good idea for me personally, even if you don't read it. Bye'
